Make CRM Even Better!

Keeping your CRM forms simplified can be tough. This guide should show you a few simple steps to show/hide field(s) in CRM 2011. In this guide we will be hiding the email field on the Accounts entity.

 

Step 1: Go to 'Settings' on the left navigation of CRM and then 'Customization'







Step 2: Click the 'Customize the System link'

Step 3: Select 'Entity' and then 'Account' (or whichever Entity has the fields you wish to hide on it).

Step 4: From here open 'Forms' and then the form with the Form Type listed as 'Main'



Step 5: From here double click the 'E-mail' field displayed

Step 6: Uncheck this checkbox to hide or show the field on the form

Do you just want to be able to assign ownership from your mobile device that isn't normally available out of box? Well look no further; for a solution to your "record-jackery woes", this blog post is going to be walking you through a few easy steps to create a workflow that lets you assign record ownership right from your mobile or tablet device!

 

First step is creating a lookup on the entity you are trying to enable (protect) mobile owner assignment on. This field will be used on the mobile express form to update the owner. To add this Open Customizations -> (Entity name here) -> N:1 Relationships. Click new Many-to-1 Relationships and set the Primary Entity to "User". Following this save and close the record.



 

Next step is adding this custom field to the form. To do this go to Customizations...
